Department of Medical Services
The goal of the department is to enhance health sector capacity in delivering diagnostics equipments, essential medicine and supplies to the health facilities and hospitals to ensure adequate medical RMNCAH and emergency services and facilities available at all levels of health systems.
Under the supervision of Director General of the Ministry of Health, the Department is responsible on the following function: a) enhance capacity of supply chain management of health sector – including storage, distribution, reporting using Logistics Management information system, b) Health facility and hospital infrastructure design and engineering to ensure all health facilities and hospitals are up to the standard required, c) managing the programmes related such as emergency medical services, sexual reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health services – as part of integrated EPHS services.
